Nusa Islands · Day trip · fast boat
The quieter side of Nusa Penida — the sweeping Diamond Beach and Atuh cliffs, the Thousand Islands viewpoint and Teletubbies hills, with far fewer people and just as much drama.
Overview
Most day-trippers pile onto the west loop, so the east stays blissfully calm. We take the early boat and head straight for the Atuh area — the white crescent of Diamond Beach below sculpted cliffs is one of Bali's most jaw-dropping sights.
You'll take in the Thousand Islands viewpoint, the rolling Teletubbies hills and a swim where the water's safe, all on your own schedule with a private 4WD and a guide who knows which stairs are worth the legs.
Collected and driven to Sanur for the morning crossing to Nusa Penida.
The famous clifftop view, then the carved stairway down if you fancy the beach.
A swim and a coconut on the quieter neighbouring bay.
Lunch with a view over the Raja Lima ridge and its scatter of islets.
Return fast boat to Sanur and an easy drive home.
Dropped back by early evening.
Moderate to challenging — the Diamond Beach stairs are steep. The viewpoints alone are spectacular if you'd rather not descend.
Swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, a hat and sturdy shoes.
Dry season (Apr–Oct) for calm seas and clear skies.
Combine east and west across two days if you want the whole island at a gentle pace.

Reviews
We’re new, and we act like it — the founders still run every tour personally, and nothing about your day is outsourced or resold.
After your tour we’ll send you one link. Write the truth — good or bad, it goes up unedited. That’s how this section gets built.
Anything not right on the day? Message Ayu directly while you’re still in the car. We fix things in minutes, not in email threads.
