Ubud · Culture · day tour
Bali's green, creative heart in one unhurried day — the Tegalalang rice terraces, a working water temple, a jungle waterfall and a long lunch over the valley, with a guide who grew up here.
Overview
Ubud is where Bali's culture is most alive, and a local guide makes all the difference between ticking off photo stops and actually understanding what you're seeing. We start early at the Tegalalang terraces before the buses, then visit a working water temple where you can join the purification ritual if you like.
In between there's a hidden waterfall for a swim, the rice-field lanes the crowds miss, and a long lunch at a warung where the guides actually eat. It's gentle, green and easy to tailor — more temples, more nature, or more coffee, your call.
Collected from your hotel in the south or Ubud and up into the hills.
The famous terraces in the soft morning light, with time for the swing if you fancy it.
Tirta Empul or a quieter alternative, with the option to join the melukat ritual.
A long, local lunch overlooking the rice fields.
A cooling swim at a jungle fall away from the crowds.
Dropped home by late afternoon.
Easy — gentle walking and some steps at the waterfall. Comfortable for most ages.
A swimsuit for the waterfall, sunscreen, and modest cover for temples (sarongs provided).
Lovely year-round; mornings are clearest and coolest.
Great for families — tell us the kids' ages and we'll adjust the pace and stops.
